About the Project
In the AP United States History classes at Green Hope High School, we encourage our students to be creative thinkers, to engage critically with historical evidence, and to create history in the way working historians do. Throughout the semester, students have worked to develop their skills in historical analysis, assigning historical significance, and posing defensible historical arguments. As a culminating activity, students have brought all of those skills and processes to bear in the creation of original histories on topics that are typically left out of the standard American History curriculum and textbooks. Student teams have conducted research and on this site they present their findings. Each page of this site is dedicated to telling a story that students have determined worthy of more public attention. We hope you enjoy joining with the AP United States History students from Green Hope in exploring some Hidden Histories!
